Cheddar and Mr. Squeak spent many a long hour in philosophical discussion. They agreed early on in their friendship to end every debate by summarizing the points upon which they agreed and leaving the rest to rest. For while cats may have nine lives, and mice may know how to squeeze out of tricky situations, life is short for all living creatures and time is a precious commodity best spent together.
